PPA59 Celebrity Color Challenge @ PalsPaperArts.com

With the approaching CHRISTmas holidays (they really aren't long off) many folks seem to be doing the "non-traditional" colors in their CHRISTmas layouts...soooooo I think to myself (sound like Faith Hill's I am So Blessed) how about non-traditional Halloween colors to meet the "requirements" for the PPA59 challenge. I LOVE IT! I'm not so "in" to scarey movies, gothic, etc. but I do love love love the halloween stamps Stampin' Up has in the new holiday mini. Let me know what you think and thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a tremendously blessed day (I should do TREEmendously blessed day on a card or two now that we mention it......)

Gotta love FOOTBALL

What keeps a mom from stampin'?  F O O T B A L L.

Please pray that the broken ankle that was NOT a clean break (2 pieces gone astray) will NOT need surgery. His pain is not as severe as it was Friday/Saturday, it is now tolerable. The crocodile tears got to all of us....including the staff at the ER.

Gideon Pastor's Banquet

Our Gideon Pastor's Banquest was tonight. Best attendance we've ever had. God is so very good! My daughter, son #4, and myself made all the Pastor's Wifes Pastor's Wifes Survival Kits which were really bags...We used several of the Stampin' Up! papers and punches. Everyone LOVED them..  :-) will add pic of one soon when I get to time to make another. No leftovers and I didn't have time to take pics before we left...tied the last few in backseat while my husband drove since we were late ;-)

As we were walking out the door a dear friend of mine from church commented, "Don't forget the bridal shower after church tomorrow." TOO LATE...already had...However, we got home around 10ish so I ironed the paper to wrap a couple of gifts with...Stampin' Up! again...how? IRONED the brown paper I save that the company uses to hold the contents of packages received from moving around. WAHLAH! instant giftwrap :-)

Ironed Paper from the Stampin' Up! packaging :-)

Sunday 4:14 p.m. home from bridal shower. Took a shot of wrapping (as promised) and also took a pic of the card I made in about 15 minutes...I love Stampin' Up! :-)

Kindness

Webster.com defines kindness as "a kind deed, favor... affection"
I sat down this afternoon to check emails and watch the much needed rain out my office window and it came to mind the teachers at our school that have made my transition this year much easier. The county powers that be have transfered me from one school in our county to another. I grow to care very deeply for each and every student which crosses my path (I'm sure many of you can relate). Therefore, when I leave a school I miss those which I serve and care a great deal about. With that sadness (rain) comes the good that results (sunshine and new crops). That's where God has planted the teachers and students I am blessed to be around each and every day. In comes Stampin' Up! (smile)...so for the next few days, weeks, I need be more complimentary and thankful to the staff/friends/coworkers.... Tonight is the beginning...because my friend as you will learn...even the rain is a blessing :-) Much love, S

I used the owl punch (which I love love love) and the scallop border punch along with the branch from the bird punch. Stay tuned.....

Saturday turns in to Sunday....

After all the "Saturday" stuff I stained on the concrete in the basement...ran out of stain after 1 room and part of hall...wahhhh. Sunday arrives, we were blessed during Sunday School and Worship Service, then over ate at Moore's Restaraunt. Gene's cousin passed as did another good friend so we went to two funeral home visitations after church and got home just about time to head to Training Union and Worship Service at church tonight. While Gene and Erin were at choir practice after church, I came home and whipped out an anniversary card for a couple at church. Card isn't as "snazzy" as I'd like but I'm not feeling rip-roaring creative today.

DOstamperSTARS Blogger's Challenge #1

Received my Stampin Up! starter kit and the stamps are sooooooooo purty :-) Dawn has graciously started a new "challenge" series for her DOstamperSTARS and fortunately I'm participating. This weeks challenge was to create something from the summer mini catalog, which my card is not from....Hence the resulting card. How? you might ask...well...I posted to the kind hearts on the "DOblog" and said I was out week because none of my starter kit seemed to be from the summer mini catalog. Being the old entary school principal I am, along with the heat in the upper 90's and 100s it is here, I then "hit the hay" (take a nap) wake up 8 hours (long nap, I'm whooped) later and log into the DOblog only to find the sweetest of encouragement....soooooooooo there ya have it...need to say thanks to some kind ladies for their encouragement because.....I NEEDED THAT!
